02What to bring

  • Swimwear – or swim naked, that is fine too
  • A bath towel, and ideally a small towel to sit on
  • Something to drink and a few snacks – our favourite is citrus fruit
  • In winter: slippers, a hat and warm clothes for the walk across the ice
  • Use the toilet before you set off – there is no toilet on the raft

03How your visit works

The sauna is anchored about 100 metres out in the lake and is already warm when you arrive. You are welcome to row yourselves out – or we row you. The boat takes 4–5 passengers plus a rower, so a group of 12 needs three trips.

If you row yourselves, plan to be back at the jetty by the end of your booking, as another group may have booked after you. If we rowed you out, we pick you up when your time is up – call the sauna host if you would like to come back earlier. Firewood is included. Life jackets are available – just ask the sauna host.

When the lake is frozen we walk to and from the sauna across the ice. If we judge the ice too thin to be safe, we will let you know. You then get a full refund and can book a new time.

04We ask you to

  • arrive on time, or let us know as soon as you know you will be late
  • keep your voices down when you pass the residential buildings
  • keep the noise down outside the sauna – inside, feel free to be as loud as you like
  • take everything you brought with you, including all rubbish, unless agreed otherwise with the sauna host. There are rubbish bags in the sauna.

05Cancellation

Full refund up to 48 hours before your booked time. Cancel using the link and cancellation code in your booking confirmation – the refund is automatic.

Getting to and using the sauna raft, and swimming in the lake, is at your own risk. Sjöbastun AB accepts no liability for injury to persons or damage to belongings.
